About me
Here you can find out more about me — personal details, my career, and my skills.
About me – personal
I am an open-minded and thoughtful person and am committed to taking responsibility for projects that are close to my heart.
My reliability and creative thinking make me an asset to any team. Learning new things, analyzing them, and then putting them into practice is a key driver of success and happiness for me. I can draw on a wealth of knowledge gained from many years of experience, which makes me very happy. Nevertheless, I am constantly developing my knowledge and tech stack, even in my private life.
Honesty and authenticity are also two key drivers of my personality. I thrive in working environments where it is possible to be yourself and where personal strengths can be developed. Constructive criticism, openness, and contact are therefore extremely important to me, and I also attach great importance to this being a high priority in my work.
And one two last ingredients that might not be overlooked: commitment and enthusiasm. I have always been passionate about projects that interest me. My first really intensive project at university was the creation of a natural language processing model, and in a professional context, it was setting up a company-wide reporting system during my first internship. I love diving into a subject, developing expertise, and sharing it with others. That’s what I’m looking for professionally. A position that enables me to do that.
My ultimate goal is to lead exciting data projects as a full-stack data engineer—and to be a link in highly complex IT and organizational structures.
About me – background
I grew up near Frankfurt on the edge of the Taunus mountains and moved away relatively early to study. I learned a lot during my business studies that I can still apply today. Since there were also complementary courses, I got into data mining, using sentiment analysis on scraped data from the web. My long-term perspective and keen interest in data engineering really became clear to me during my master’s degree. I did internships in Hamburg on the side, which further reinforced my planned future focus. This allowed me to slowly approach a highly interesting and promising industry, and I got to know many exciting companies and people.
Today, I work in the data industry and am very happy about it. Whether data engineering, data governance, or data quality assurance, these topics are all highly relevant to the digital positioning of companies, and I can express my greatest interest in expanding further in this area. To prove my skills, I have become certified in PowerBI, Fabric, and Alteryx. I would also like to tackle AWS soon.
About me – technical
If you want to learn more about my technical career, you’re right here. My greatest strength lies in working with data and making it accessible to a wide variety of people in exactly the right way, as is often confirmed by the people I work with. I have an outstanding understanding of data structures, can quickly grasp connections between tables and different systems, rapidly familiarize myself with unfamiliar systems, and build multidimensional models on them that help people move forward.
I am also the point of contact for data orchestration and pipelines. I can draw on extensive knowledge in this area and provide excellent advice, particularly in the Microsoft and Git ecosystems.
Finally, I have a solid knowledge of networking and IT security. I know how to set up and manage a secure server network for internal company services, how to efficiently use external providers and implement authorization concepts, and I am very familiar with the usual pitfalls in practice.
My main tech stack includes:
Data Engineering
The process of preparing data in various processing layers and data quality assurance.
System administration
Setting up and maintaining a server network structure and all necessary authorization systems.
Reporting
Creation of multidimensional and analyzable data models for targeted reporting.
Exemplary use cases of my tech stack can be found in my projects & references.
